Tags are used to define and modify widgets, questions and variables, both visible and hidden, that make up a survey. While some tags are required for widgets to be fully-defined, e.g., using the type
tag to specify a question type, others are optional, but still necessary for the widget to function as desired. Tags may specify details such as instructions, acceptable answer ranges for open-ended questions, validations, "decline to answer" responses, text field sizes, and more.
Below you will find a list of many of our most commonly used tags, listed alphabetically, with links to articles for additional information. Some links may include aliases, abbreviated names that can be substituted for the full name; any aliases will be listed in parentheses after the tag name. We have also included a "For use with" column that specifies which widget types they can be applied to.
To jump ahead to a specific letter, use the table of contents to the right.
