unchain

IntelliSurvey automatically combines, or chains, matching content in translation overlays. The unchain tag can be used to customize this behavior for specific questions or the entire survey.

1. What do you think of Italian food?
type: radio
1. It is my favorite
2. It is not my favorite, but it is okay
3. I do not like it at all

2. What do you think of Mexican food?

unchain: y
1. It is my favorite
2. It is not my favorite, but it is okay
3. I do not like it at all

With unchain: y, Q1 and Q2's options appear separately in the translation overlay. Without it, they would appear only once because they are an exact match.

• unchain allows for unique translations for content that matches exactly in the primary language, but needs different translations for other languages.
• unchain accepts 'y' and 'n' inputs.
• unchain can be applied to questions or groups locally, or to the entire survey with set defaults. When set at the group or survey level, it can be overridden for specific groups or questions.
