Welcome to IntelliSurvey!
This serves as your starting point to familiarize yourself with the IntelliSurvey User Interface (UI). We'll cover essential topics such as setting up your account, logging in, navigating the platform, and locating support.
The following video provides an overview of the content below.
Tip! We've also put together a guide with helpful links organized by the typical survey life-cycle. You can find the quick start guide here.
Logging into the platform
To access the IntelliSurvey platform, you need to log in with an email address and a password.
When logging in to an IntelliSurvey server for the first time, enter your email address. IntelliSurvey uses the email address registered to the account as the username. If using the traditional account creation process, also enter your name and a password. The password is case-sensitive.
If you are part of an organization that has single sign-on (SSO) enabled, you will be routed to your authenticator's page (e.g., Google) to continue the verification process.
- First, read Logging into IntelliSurvey.
- If you cannot remember your password, read how to reset your password.
We also suggest you bookmark your main login page; for example:
https://yourservername.intellisurvey.com/admin/
Note, login pages will be unique to the server your projects are hosted on, which vary based on your geographic location and client needs.
Need an account?
If you do not have a registered account yet, another user with the correct permissions can create one for you. Ask an IntelliSurvey onboarding specialist, contact support, or send an email to help@intellisurvey.com.
Managing users
If you're responsible for creating new user accounts, read about user accounts administration where you can view, add, edit, and delete user accounts in the IntelliSurvey platform.
Navigating the UI
Home screen
The Survey Navigator, IntelliSurvey’s home page, lists all the surveys a user has access to on a server. This is also where you can find the system navigation menu to create surveys, access system resources, and manage admin tasks like adding users or editing profiles.
Pinned surveys
In the example above, you can see "favorited" tiles at the top of the screen. When a survey is "pinned," a tile is created at the top of the screen, allowing for quick access to the survey without having to search the Survey Navigator table. Pinning (or "favoriting") a survey can be particularly useful when your team has multiple surveys in progress.
Opening a survey
Once you have been added to or have created surveys, they can be opened from the Survey Navigator by:
- clicking the hyperlinked survey ID (name) in the grid,
- clicking a pinned survey tile at the top,
- double-clicking a row in the grid, or
- selecting the survey through Quick Search
.
Fielding Overview
Once your survey is open, your system navigation menu on the left will be replaced with the survey navigation menu designed to assist you in building, fielding, and analyzing your project.
In the Field group, you'll discover Fielding Overview, which provides metrics that are extremely useful for overseeing and managing your project's fieldwork.
The Metrics tab displays a banner and tiles summarizing survey activity. These tiles can be customized and rearranged to create a tailored survey dashboard while the survey is in field.
