Version Notice: This article covers features in our r9/IS Pro platform. If you're looking for information on this topic related to r8, see Survey Dashboard.
The Fielding Overview applet provides information for monitoring the survey while it is collecting data. This applet is found in the Field navigation group.
Overview
Fielding Overview consists of two tabs:
- Metrics – Change the survey's stage, get incidence rates, and review a set of customizable tiles with more detailed information.
- Summary – Review changes in the survey's incidence rate and interview length over the past 24 hours.
Changing the survey's stage
On the Metrics tab, click the Change Stage button to update the survey's stage as the project progresses. You can also schedule a stage change to occur at a specific date and time. See Survey stages for more information.
Metrics tiles
The tiles on the Metrics tab offer condensed views into different aspects of the survey's activity. Click and drag the tiles to rearrange them. Multiple Quotas tiles can be created using the Add Tiles dropdown menu.
See the links below for more information on each tile:
- Quotas tile
- Terminations tile
- Status tile
- Incidence tile
- Activity tile
- RPM tile (Responses per Minute)
Reviewing the Summary tab
The Summary tab contains the Metrics and Past 24 Hour Metrics tables.
- In the Metrics table, the Δ Past 24 Hours column shows the difference, or delta Δ, between the left and right columns.
- The Past 24 Hour Metrics table provides the incidence rate and median LOI (length of interview) for the past 24 hours.
In the example below, the median LOI for the Past 24 Hours is 1 minute 7 seconds, compared to just 40 seconds for the Prior Total median LOI. This increase is reflected in the Cumulative Total Median LOI of 44 seconds, resulting in a Delta (Δ) of 4 seconds.
The Incidence Rate for the Past 24 Hours is 94%, compared to a Prior Total Incidence Rate of 92%. This increase is not enough to affect the Cumulative Total Incidence Rate, resulting in a Delta (Δ) of 0%.
