To view available themes, go to Resources > Themes in the system navigation menu.

Choosing a theme
IntelliSurvey has a few default themes. When deciding which theme to use for your survey, consider the audience you will be reaching. Are they accustomed to taking surveys on a mobile device or a desktop? Do they expect the survey to have any certain style of buttons? Would they appreciate having each page auto advance after each answer?
You can change your survey's theme at any time. Our main themes are briefly described below.
| Theme | Description |
| Plain | Base theme used to build others. |
| Flex (default) |
Optimized for mobile and responsive to screen size, with a modern design. Most questions auto-advance. Clickable inputs appear as buttons. Tables support three orientation formats. |
| Decisive |
Based on Flex, mobile-optimized with cooler green tones and a more compact design. |
| Modern |
Similar to Flex, with a dark blue, borderless-button style. |
| Quality |
Optimized for mobile with a classic research style, presenting a checkbox/radio interface on the right side. Questions are boxed, tables adapt to screen size and orientation, and answered rows collapse automatically. Page navigation buttons are always present. |
| Spruce |
Based on Quality with inputs on the left. Questions appear over a gray background. |
Tip! Preview your survey in any theme by adding the _tid URL parameter to the live link. This parameter accepts a theme ID as its value. For example:
https://www.your_survey_domain/dev/your_survey?_tid=quality
Creating a new theme
To create a new theme, enter a Theme ID and Description, and choose a Parent Theme. The Theme ID can contain letters, numbers, and underscores; spaces are not allowed. The Parent Theme provides the base for your new theme. After creating the theme, click Files to view and edit its files.

Tip! For information about creating and editing the .tx files that define the themes, see Editing themes.
