Use the Change Status applet to update the status
field for one or more respondents. This applet is only available to users with the Maker survey role.
The Change Status applet is found in the Data Management applet group.
Note: Adjusting respondent statuses, including marking them as "tests," can impact your quota counts. Please review all relevant respondent data thoroughly before making any changes.
To change respondent statuses, first, use the Completed, IDs, Date/Time, and Data Cut filters to select the records to expunge. Filters can be combined as needed. After applying the desired filters, the Existing Respondent Data will be populated with the respondent records chosen.
Note: The respondents selected are not required to have the same status for their records to be changed, but only one Change To status may be selected at a time.
Next, in the Update Field box, select a new status from the Change To dropdown menu. All statuses are available, including any defined in the source code using the setstatus
widget. For more information on respondent status classifications, see Understanding respondent statuses.
After selecting a new status for the respondent records, click Next in the upper right corner to continue.
On the next screen, review the information in the Original Respondent Data and Update Field boxes and confirm that the desired records and new status were selected. If any adjustments need to be made, click the Back button to return to the previous screen. Otherwise, select the confirmation checkbox and click the Update Data button to apply the update.
