The audience sheet tag and decorator triggers the platform to place a quota in Audience Quotas, allowing you to manage the quota with targets, percentages, and variance. The tag references a system or local sheet known as an audience sheet.
The audience type tag and decorator organizes quotas into groups within Audience Quotas.

Theaudience typedecorator is placed inline with thecreate quotatag. - There are three system audience types available: 'REP' (Rep Sample), 'GS' (General Sample), and 'OS' (Over Sample). A custom audience type name can also be entered.
- The 'REP' audience type includes certain respondent statuses in its filter by default. This can be overridden by applying the
quotabasetag to the quota directly. - The
audtypeparameter is needed in the survey entry link in order to "punch" and increment a quota's counts in Audience Quotas. It's value should match the audience type, e.g., REP, you are targeting.
Audience types
Audience quotas with the same audience_type (e.g., REP) are grouped into the same table in Audience Quotas. Each audience type has one field for setting the target "N" and variance.
Create your own audience type by inputting any single-word value or use one of three system audience types available: 'REP' (Rep Sample), 'GS' (General Sample), and 'OS' (Over Sample).
The three system audience types have an assumed respondent basis which automatically defines the respondent statuses to be included in the audience type.
-
audience type: REPincludes all respondent statuses except for: 'F','X','D','J','R', and 'B'. -
audience type: GSincludes Completes only. -
audience type: OSincludes Completes only.
Note: At this time, the audience type tag is not supported for usage with click balance quotas.
Additional examples
Applying multiple audience types to one quota
Multiple audience type tags can be added to a question or variable. Below, the create quota tag is added twice to Q2. Each quota created uses the same audience sheet. However, QAGE is for the representative sample phase, while QAGE2 is for the main general sample phase.

Adding the 'audtype' parameter to your links
The audtype parameter is needed for audience quotas to "punch" and increment their counts in Audience Quotas. The audtype parameter should be placed in the survey entry URL, and the value input after the = (equal) sign should match the audience type value used in the quota variable.
For example, if the quota QGENDER is programmed with audience type: REP, then the entry URL should be http://surveydomain.com/pub/survey_ID/record_ID?audtype=REP.
For more information on formatting URL parameters, see Passing in parameters.
Overriding the 'REP' audience quota's qualifying base
audience type: REP includes all respondent statuses in its qualifying logic except for: 'F','X','D','J','R', and 'B'. To override this, apply the quotabase tag to a quota question (type: quota) and adjust the respondent statsuses as needed, as shown below.
GENDER. Gender group quota
type: quotas
quotabase: ($audience_type eq 'REP') and noneChecked($status,'X','F')
audience sheet: system.aud_us_18to64_gender
audience type: REP
optsfrom: Q1
