lock tag

The lock tag prevents changes to a variable after selection.

Variables and quotas are "unlocked" by default, allowing variables to be re-punched if a respondent navigates backwards. This is useful for testing but should be disabled in live surveys to protect data integrity. Use lock: y on key variables like routing questions and quotas to preserve survey logic.
