Survey tiles

Overview

Survey tiles exist on the HOME dashboard. They offer a portal into a survey project while utilizing minimal screen real estate. The purpose of tiles is to give you, the user, greater insight into all projects to which you have access, and/or many different points of view on fewer projects. From a survey tile, it possible to access most important administrative functions, thus limiting the number of tabs you might need to keep open. You can launch survey tiles for any survey to which you have access. Additionally, survey tiles can be re-arranged on the Survey Dashboard by dragging and dropping the tile with the mouse.

There are several tabs on every tile. The different tabs represent different aspects of the survey:

• Status: A graph showing counts for each respondent status.
• Quotas: Graphs for each survey quota, different quotas can be selected from the tab's pulldown menu.
• Activity: Displays a list of administrative user actions, as well as respondent-generated errors.
• RPM: Shows the responses per minute that survey is receiving.

Opening a survey via the surveys tab

In the manner shown below, it is possible to open several surveys at once, by selecting checkboxes next to the surveys in the list. After selecting the boxes, clicking Open on the selection menu opens each of the selected surveys in individual tabs.

Reordering survey tiles

To change the order of survey tiles on the Home Dashboard, use the mouse to drag and drop any tile from one location to another. To do this, bring the cursor over the title bar of the tile you wish to move. When it is in position, the cursor will become a four point arrow, indicating it possible to drag the tile. Next, click and drag the the tile to the location to the destination. During the drag, the adjacent space will vacate, leaving a dotted blue line border as the target for the new tile. The tile previously in that location populates the location from which dragged tile originates.

When the tile is in position, release the mouse button. The tiles are now reordered.

Expanding tiles

Click the ⤢ icon to view a tile expanded to fill the working area. 

Closing tiles

To close a tile, simply click the round 'x' icon located at the top right of the tile. This will remove it from the dashboard. Removing it from the dashboard does not impact the survey, survey content, or data in any way.
