During the course of survey programming, questions often require the input from stakeholders other than the party doing the programming. Such questions may revolve around unseen gaps in logical instructions, confusion surrounding undeleted legacy instructions, ambiguous requirements, and so on. These questions can be documented inline within the survey code via the testnote
widget or tag, so that they display in the Testnotes applet.
To access the Testnotes applet, expand the Review button group in the Survey Navigation menu, and select Testnotes.
Note: Users with a survey role of QA Tester or higher will be able to see Testnotes.
The Testnotes applet displays a grid of all instances of testnotes in a given survey. For each note, the page number and question(s) on the survey page are displayed. As with other grids across the platform, the grid may be sorted by column by clicking on the column heading. Users can download a list of testnotes in an Excel sheet by clicking the Download button.
Tip! If a survey is tested in testmode 2, testers will also be able to view notes in the Testmode Toolbar.
