Questionnaire View (also known as "Quex View") is a useful tool for reviewing a survey's questions, text, and options as the survey respondent would see the survey on screen. Quex View displays the survey in a single page view and may be exported as a Word document. This may be helpful when you need to send a clean Word version of the survey to people testing, making revisions, or translating.
To access Quex View, expand the Review button group in the Survey Navigation menu, and select Quex View.
Note: This feature is currently under development. If you are looking for editing abilities, please use IntelliBuilder instead.
Overview
The Quex View applet displays a simplified version of the programmed survey as a respondent would see it on screen. The applet's menu bar provides users the ability to toggle between Dev and Pub (Development and Published) modes, download a Word version of the survey from the Actions menu, and to refresh the survey information if need be.
Quex View can also be accessed through the Manage translations applet under the Actions menu and from the Individual Response report's Actions menu.
Note: Like other applets, Quex View can be viewed in Dev or Pub versions of the survey by using the Dev/Pub toggle in the applet header. If the most recent version of the survey has been published, the toggle will be inactive.
Download to Word
The Actions menu offers one option at this time. The option Download to Word will download the survey content as a Word document, mirroring what is seen on the screen.
CV comparison
Compact View (also known as "CV") is similar to the Quex View applet but has a few differences worth noting. CV displays the survey in one page, but unlike Quex View, it does not display survey page numbers. In addition to survey questions, CV also shows logic conditions, ordering patterns, and survey directives (e.g., programming instructions), and any setlists or sheets referenced in the survey are included in an Appendix. Like Quex View, there is a option to download what is displayed on screen into a Word document. Moreover, there is the option to download the lists found in the Appendix individually or all together in an Excel file.
Like Quex View, CV is also currently in development. If you are interested in the ability to both review and edit survey content, please see IntelliBuilder.
